A letter from our founders:

If you’re a subcontractor, you know how hard it is to find work. You’re regularly driving to sites and cold calling contractors. And if you’re a contractor, you know how hard it is to find high-quality subcontractors. 

Even when you do find work, communication is messy - between calls, texts, and emails, it’s easy for things to slip through the cracks. Sharing contracts, COIs, and other forms is often a nightmare. Invoicing and payment information can be unclear. In our line of work, these miscommunications are frustrating and costly.  

Although several products claim to address these issues, they simply don’t work. Many have become bloated, complex, and difficult to use, with far more “features” than are necessary. On top of their unnecessary complexity, they often spam your inbox with jobs that don’t fit your profile - either not in your trade or outside of the area where you work. 

It’s past time that we had a product to connect subcontractors with contractors, create a better virtual bidding process, and provide a seamless and transparent method for communication after a job bid is won. 

So we’re building it.

The Work App will address two fundamental issues. First, it will help connect subcontractors and contractors through in-app job postings and bidding. Second, after a job is won, it will provide a single source of communication - share plans, contracts, forms, and payment information, all inside the app.
